MISSION :
To
promote environment education and create awareness among
the general people to conserve and preserve nature and
natural resources as a whole.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES :
a)To promote, participate and assists environment
education among the students and general people.
b) To create awareness among the general people
regarding ecological balance and make them understand
the role of human beings in Bio-diversity Conservation
and environment.
c) Conservation, Preservation, Restoration and
Sustainable development of ecosystems within the area of
activity.
d) To maintain a good networking system among the
Governmental Organisations, other Non-Governmental
Organisations and nature activists to exchange views for
better Conservation nature
f) To culminate and eliminate trade on wildlife and
misutilisation of nature and natural resources by legal
and environmental awareness among public.
ARABIC LANGUAGE & LITERACY DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY (RCALLDS)
On
a fine August evening of 1996 the ‘Rangia College Arabic
Language & Literature development society (RCALLDS),
Rangia College, Rangia (Assam) was born in the Room no-5
of the first front A.T. Building of the College to
develop the knowledge of Arabic Language among students
of the department.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES :
a)
The Society aims to develop the knowledge of Arabic
among the students in general.
b)
As Arabic is a foreign language, so it should be studied
through various processes.
c)
At least in a month it must hold a meeting in the last
eek of the month.
d)
The date of the meeting must be notified earlier.
e)
A topic should be taken in hand to discuss it thoroughly
in the meeting.
d)
Emphasis on modern Arabic learning should be considered
first.
e)
Presence of the students should be marked.
f)
A proper committee should be formed to conduct the
smoothly and the tenure of it will be two years.
ASSAM PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY : DEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY
“Assam Philosophical Society”, Rangia College Branch,
was constituted under the auspicious guidance of the
Philosophy Department of Rangia College, Rangia on
August 22, 2001
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
a)
Propose to hold a departmental seminar every year taking
the resource person from the philosophical arena.
b)
Discussion in the department taking the burning problems
of philosophy. Open talks on special subjects will be
organized with philosophers.
c)
Proposed to arrange essay writing competition among the
students belonging to the department taking major and
general.
d)
To organize local tour taking the places of historical
and philosophical importance
e)
To publish a wall magazine every year for the all round
development of the students of philosophical department.
f)
To keep close touch with the Assam Philosophical
Society, Gauhati university
SANSKRIT SANJIVANI SAVA: DEPARTMENT OF SANSKRIT
A
departmental meeting was held by the Sanskrit department
of Rangia College with a view to forming a committee
named Sanskrit Sanjivani Sava on 12 October, 1999 under
the president ship of sri D.Deka, head of the department
of Sanskrit.
Aims & Objectives :
a)
To
popularized Sanskrit among students.
b)
To
continue the publication of the Wall magazine under the
aegis of Sanskrit department since 1995.
c)
To
increase the creativity and interest of the students for
innovation news ideas.
d)
To
organized seminar to enhance awareness for Sanskrit
language and literature.
THE POLITICAL SCIENCE FORUM: DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL
FORUM
The
Political Science Forum under the aegis of the Political
Science Department of Rangia College was established in
the year 1998. The founder President was Sri Hirendra
Nath Sarma, the then Head of the Department of Political
Science and the Secretary was Sri Balen Barman of 3rd
year (Major) with executive and general members. The
Forum has its own constitution.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES
a)
To create purposeful ambience in Political Science
b)
To conduct socio-political survey
c)
To conduct seminars on the course and various political
topics
d)
Enhancement of knowledge concerning the subject
e)
To maintain utmost sense of integrity and responsibility
RANGIA COLLEGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Rangia College Alumni association was formed on 5th
of Aug, 2002 with the objectives of fostering a sense of
belonging to the institution and making the Alumni an
integral part of the development of the college, both
physical and academic. The association has chalked out a
comprehensive scheme of activities towards that
direction.
Aim & Objectives of Alumni Association:
a)
To create a sense of fraternity among all the
ex-students of Rangia College.
b)
To strive for the academic, cultural and socio-economic
upliftment of Rangia College and its neighbouring
locality.
c)
To strive for allround development of the college.
d)
To help and co-operate with the college authority in
realizing the goals and objectives of the college.
e)
To intiate measures for collecting funds and mobilizing
resources in various other ways.
f)
To create a climate of understanding with the students
of the College by way of exchanging thoughts and ideas
to provide guidance for the future.
g)
To encourage and motivate the students on various modes
of self-employment as part of career guidance programme.
h)
To intiate measures to bring the College closer to the
society by highlighting the problems and practices
difficulties confronting the College.
i)
To take such other steps from time to time as may be
deemed necessary for general improvement of the college. |
